My Glastonbury Art

Glastonbury seems to inspire those who love it to creative endeavours. I am an artist in the loosest possible sense in that I put paint, watercolour pencil, felt pens and glitter on to paper to make a picture. But I love doing it, I find it really relaxing and I think I am improving. The Tor in particular seems to want to creep into a lot of my work, and in some it positively dominates. I collect art cards inspired by Glastonbury, and I also make Tor applique pictures.

So here is some of my Glastonbury Art.

I love long hair and am growing mine again having stupidly had it cut in 1995! So most of the figures in my art have long hair. In this one a faery relaxes at the foot of the Tor.

A whimsical idea of what the Tor might look like in faeryland.

I love to use spirals and labyrynths in my art, this one is inspired by the 3 dimensional labyrynth on the Tor.

Another whimsical faery with the Tor.

The Tor at night. I wasn't sure if I liked this one but then I posted it on my blog and it got really good feedback.

A rainbow hippy faery dances on the Tor (my alter ego is The Hippy Faery)

This one was done with watercolour pencil, the tor in mosaic.

Spring seemed very reluctant to arrive in the UK in 2006.

But arrive it eventually did and here a faery enjoys the first warm sun of spring.

Beltaine sun rises over the Tor.
