The meadow and swing seats

The original swing seat

The original swing seat is in a lovely grassy and shrubby area to the left soon after you have entered the gardens. It is one of my favourite places to sit in the gardens. When I stay at Little St. Michaels, I love to go and sit there in the morning when it is very still and quiet. If you are lucky one of the gardens robins might come and sit with you.

The Meadow

The meadow is on the left, further along the path from the first swing seat. There is another swing seat here, apple trees, the meadow area itself, and the Millenium spring. There is a lovely bower which leads out of the meadow at the other side, into the area above where the wellhead is. You can see the Tor from the swing seat here, more clearly when there are no leaves on the trees.
