The Chalice Well

The Chalice Well itself is at the top of the gardens, furthest from the entrance. It has a beautiful wrough iron and wood cover, and is in a shady glade. There are trees all around, and a lovely little courtyard nearby which has a tiny spring in it as well. I love to find somewhere to sit near here and just listen and watch nature, and just be still.

The area round the well

The well is set in a paved area, with seats including a lovely rustic covered one, and shrubs, plants and trees. Fossils are set into the ground. These photos are of the area around the well.

The Sanctuary

In the same area as the well is a little paved area, called The Sanctuary which has figures and fossils in niches in the walls, and a small spring. I love sitting here, it is so peaceful
